There’s palpable excitement in the air here at The Coconut Company as we launch some new products. We know that you’re going to just love our latest additions and they will cause quite a stir – not just in your kitchen, but in terms of the buzz of love they’re sure to generate.

So, without further ado, let’s introduce our highly-anticipated Organic Coconut Curry Milks (available in gentle green, fiery red and warming yellow) and the much-wanted for decadent baking, Organic Condensed Coconut Milk.

Ready, set, dinner

Whether it’s a frantic weeknight when you want to eat healthily without exhausting yourself further in the kitchen, or a weekend dinner with friends, our organic coconut curry milks are going to revolutionise your time in the kitchen.

Available as Green Curry Milk, Red Curry Milk and Yellow Curry Milk, you can take your pick for an easy-to-do dinner solution. Simply fry up your protein and veggies (perhaps use a smidgen of coconut oil) and pour over your chosen curry milk, then serve with a side like rice or noodles. Yes, it’s really that simple. You can get a delicious curry on the table in about 15 minutes with minimal effort and zero hassle.

There are some notable extra benefits to our organic curry milks too.

Of course, first up, they are organic. That means no nasties, just good nutritious food with higher amounts of nutrients. Most ready-made curry mixes are jam-packed with artificial additives, preservatives and ingredients you can’t even pronounce. Our curry milks are designed to be the curry you’d make from scratch, if you had the time and energy. So, all in all, they are organic coconut milk combined with organic herbs and spices. Nothing more, nothing less.

Secondly, we’ve consciously chosen to package our organic coconut milks in BPA-free tins. Why? BPA (Bisphenol A) is a chemical compound that has been widely used in the production of plastics and resins, including those used in food and drink can linings. However, concerns have arisen about the potential health risks associated with BPA exposure, largely because it is an endocrine-disrupting chemical. There’s growing evidence that BPA could be behind some reproductive problems, developmental disorders, and an increased risk of certain cancers. BPA-free packaging is better for the environment too as the chemicals can leach from it, contaminating water sources and affecting aquatic life. Some people find that BPA packaging affects taste too, and we don’t want that in our delicious coconut milks!

Each can of coconut curry milk is 400ml and contains 6 servings. That’s great for a weeknight family supper or for a spot of entertaining friends at the weekend. If you like a soupier curry, just grab another tin!

Lastly, by packaging our organic coconut curry milks in BPA-free simple tins, you can recycle them with ease. Just give them a rinse and pop them in your usual can recycling and feel confident that you’re doing your bit for the planet and have avoided plastic.

Serving up a tasty curry

So, let’s share some more about our three different delicious coconut milk curries and how to use them:

·       The Coconut Company Organic Green Curry Sauce

Our Green Curry Sauce is a light curry milk blended with spices including green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, pepper, cinnamon and turmeric. There’s a hint of lemongrass running through and the overall flavour is mild and refreshing.

Versatility is the name of the game when it comes to a Green Curry. Whatever veg has arrived in your veg box, or whatever you’ve got languishing in the fridge yet to be used, is perfect as a base. Either roast them or stir-fry them before pouring over the aromatic simmer sauce. Or even pour the sauce over raw veg and let them simmer together for the flavours to truly mingle.

Serve your green curry with some sticky jasmine rice for an authentic Thai-style curry.

·       The Coconut Company Organic Red Curry Sauce

For a warming kick of spice and a richer fierier curry, try our Red Curry Sauce. Still light and delicate in terms of coconut gentleness, there’s a spicier hit from the red chillies, ginger, curry leaves, pepper, cinnamon and turmeric.

You can use the Red Curry Sauce with veggies, like above. However, if you want some protein to help carry the fiery spice, then we really recommend tofu or paneer. Serve it up with rice or some noodles for a warming substantial soupy dinner broth.

·       The Coconut Company Organic Yellow Curry Sauce

If you can’t quite decide what mood you’re in, then the Yellow Curry Sauce is the perfect choice. You get the same fiery kick you find in the Red Curry, but with the added nurturing sweet hug of coconut nectar. It’s this combo that makes the Yellow Curry Sauce the best of both worlds – sweet and spicy.

Pick your favourite protein and pair it together with chunky sweet vegetables like butternut squash and sweet potato. Let the sauce simmer until your veggies are tender. This is a perfect curry for chillier autumnal nights. Serve as a soup, or add some noodles or rice.

Want to take your yellow curry to the next level when entertaining friends. Simply caramelise some onion as garnish, finish with some fresh coriander, and serve with flatbreads.

And for afters…

Our new range of curry sauces are sure to give you enough to get excited, but we didn’t stop there. Our other new product hitting the shelves is the delectable Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk. We’re all for being healthy, but sometimes we need a nudge of delicious sweetness to get us through the day, and that’s what we get here. A dairy-free alternative to traditional condensed milk, there are no nasty additives. It’s perfect for taking the place of whipped creams or making up an enviable dairy-free topping for cakes – that’s right, if you’re searching for a vegan-friendly cake topping, you’ve just found it.
